Mercury Commercial Electronics develops digitization solutions for
wideband signal and high-channel count applications alike. Leveraging analog-to-digital
converters (ADC) and digital-to-analog converters (DAC) from silicon industry
providers such as Texas Instruments and Analog Devices, Mercury can precisely
match and digitize intermediate frequencies (IF) for a wide host of radar, EW
and SIGINT applications.
With the onset of these newer ADCs and DACs that sample well into the
GHz range at up to 12-bits per sample and beyond, the data-rate ingest and
export is significant. Mercury utilizes high-end FPGAs from Xilinx and Altera
to solve this problem. Module and system-level architectures have been
optimized to maximize digital data throughput while minimizing latency,
critical for real-time applications. In addition to processing digital signals from
digitizers, Mercury’s FPGA solutions also directly interface to EO/IR focal
plane arrays along with pre-digitized I&Q data streams from radar
receiver/exciter systems.
