Advanced Microelectronics Center FAQ

Introduction

Mercury has moved its facilities in Salem, NH to a new state-of-the-art microelectronics facility in Hudson, New Hampshire, and creating the Advanced Microelectronics Center.

In addition, we merged LNX Corporation into Mercury Systems, Inc. and changing our banking relationship to TD bank. Please use the FAQ below for more information. Thank you.

Q. Why did Mercury build a new microelectronics facility? 

A. To meet the growing need for superior microelectronics components and integrated microwave assemblies, Mercury’s new facility will provide world-class design and manufacturing capabilities. Services will span from design, to full-rate production -- the only mid-size manufacturer to offer complete sensor-chain aware services and integration.


Q. Are you keeping your microelectronics facility in West Caldwell, NJ open? 

A. Yes, both facilities provide redundancy as part of our Advanced Microelectronics Centers.


Q. What is the Advanced Microelectronics Center (AMC) mission? 

A. Think of it as a capability, our Advanced Microelectronics Centers provide manufacturing and design capabilities to support Prime Contractor’s microelectronics affordability, quality and development objectives through our unique combination of competences, expertise, and industry-leading scalability and supply continuation.


Q. Where will product orders be filled? 

A. All product orders will now be fulfilled out of the new Hudson facility 

  • Customers should update any applicable records

 Q. Is there a requalification plan for the new facility? 

A. Yes, all processes, process equipment, inspection equipment and ESS equipment will be base-lined prior to moving and re-qualified after moving

  • All processes will have an associated data-capturing plan
  • All process equipment will have an associated data-capturing plan
  • Test equipment will have a data-capturing plan using specific golden units
  • Inspection and ESS equipment have an associated data-capturing plan
  • We performed requalification on a sample of parts for each customer

Q. What product requalification method is being used?

A. Product requalification will be done under a partial AS9102 FAIR, and will be implemented on a case-by-case basis

  • Reports will be delivered to active customers                                                                             

         -  Customers should review the plan with their respective teams

  • Requalification effort will bring the facility on-line with minimal risk
  • Customer-developed plans or checklists will also be completed upon request

Q. Is there a list available for assemblies manufactured at the new plant? 

A. Yes, customers will be provided a list of assemblies after the new facility goes online


Q. Where will RMAs be processed? 

A. All RMAs will be processed through the new location

  • Mercury’s RMA team will work directly with customers to provide details

Q. Does our accounts payable remit information change? 

A. No, you should continue to use the following accounts payable remit information:

Q. What’s the address of the new facility?

Q. After November, does the Salem CAGE Code change? 

A. No, the CAGE Code for the Salem facility (CAGE: 3E5E2) will transition to the new Mercury Systems, Inc. Hudson, NH location as a standard location change. However, the name associated with the CAGE code will change from LNX Corporation to Mercury Systems, Inc. 


Q. What should customers do after the CAGE Code transitions? 

A. Customers will have to update their facility information form to cover contracts and licensing.


Q. Does the new facility have a DSS security rating? 

A. Yes, Mercury will retain its DSS Superior rating at the new Hudson facility.


 

Q. What should customers do after the name change? 

A. Customers should update any applicable records, e.g., business forms, AVL and ASL.


Q. Does our accounts payable remit information change? 

A. Yes, customers should begin to use the following accounts payable remit information:

     Address: Mercury Systems, Inc., 201 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824


January 1, 2014 – Mercury Systems, Inc. is also changing its corporate banking relationships to TD Bank.


Q. What does the bank change mean for customers? 

A. Customers who pay electronically (by wire transfer or by ACH) will be provided with new payments instructions when the banking change is fully implemented later this year.

  • Customers who pay to our lockbox will continue to remit to the same address – NO additional changes beyond the name change to Mercury Systems, Inc.

Q. Where will product orders be filled? 

A. After the move, all product orders will now be fulfilled out of the new Hudson facility

  • Customers should update any applicable records

A. All RMAs will be processed through the new location

Q. Will customers have access to the requalification plans? 

A. Yes, we will make the requalification plan available to any customer that requests a copy.

A. Customers will be provided a list of assemblies after the new facility goes online

  • All process equipment will have an associated data-capturing plan

Q. After the February move, does the Hudson CAGE Code change? 

A. Yes, the CAGE Code for MCE Hudson (CAGE: 54487) will be disestablished, and replaced with the new Hudson location CAGE Code under Mercury Systems, Inc. (CAGE: 3E5E2).
