Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Mercury Systems is looking for new talent to join its software team in Geneva.

In close cooperation with the Project Manager and the Software Manager, you will be supporting our software activities for avionics projects. You will be responsible for various software lead and development tasks.

 

Position Summary

  • Lead software activities for avionics projects
  • Establish and follow up software planning of the project
  • Coordinate with internal teams the different software activities of the project as well as the availability of the deliverable
  • Ensure the project execution conforms to the defined software plans
  • Participate in the specification, design, development or verification activities when required
  • Interface with customer for technical software support

 

Skills and Experience 

  • Master's degree in Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of industrial experience as an embedded software engineer
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python
  • Good knowledge of DO-178 guidelines and related processes (proven experience in a DO-178 project)
  • Software project management skills (tasks definition, planning setup, tracking, etc.)
  • Optional: experience in Linux kernel driver development
  • Reliable, responsible and customer-oriented personality
  • High resilience and ability to work in a challenging and very dynamic environment
