It is a tunable upconverter that consists partly of a bypassable epgFirIntrp2to16 subcore followed by a epgHbIntrp2Path2 subcore (see above). Since the output of the half-band interpolator is in 2 paths, it is followed by a split-phase NCO/ mixer stage that places the output signal anywhere within the output band. The total interpolation is 2-32 makes the maximum bandwidth Fclk/2, or 16x wider than that of the epgNbXmtr32to4k.

  • Low interpolation / relatively wide-band input
    • Minimum interpolation = 2 => max BW = Fs/2
