Folding at Home

Right now many people are considering where and how to give back and do their part. Mercury’s Ray Winkel, Principal Field Application Engineer found a way that fits him best, using technology for good through the Folding@Home COVID-19 Protein Analysis program.

Ray has dedicated a rugged Mercury server packed with 15K NVIDIA CUDA cores to accelerate COVID-19 simulations in hopes of helping Folding@Home find a druggable site. As these simulations require a lot of computing, we uniquely configured our server with multiple datacenter GPUs to ensure faster data collection.
