GSS understands the risks associated with Diminished Manufacturing Supply (DMS). And for our customers, it’s all about buying-down that risk. That’s why we offer a variety of extended support and long-term manufacturing and maintenance options.

Long-Term Support Offerings 

In today’s rigid defense budget environment, it’s difficult for prime contractors to build additional products strictly on speculation. With a Longevity of Supply (LOS) agreement, Mercury extends the ability to manufacture a forecasted product after one or many of its parts have reached End of Life (EOL). LOS is a proven way for you to buy-down risk during a product’s life cycle, while simultaneously managing tough Diminished Manufacturing Source (DMS) issues. 

What does a good fit look like 

Mercury also offers a Longevity of Repair (LOR) option in which we extend the ability to repair the listed products for the term of the agreement. In contrast to a more traditional maintenance plan, an LOR agreement features a per-incident repair charge and a significantly lower flat rate. The LOR formula is ideal for prime contractors who anticipate minimal maintenance issues.
