DC to 8 GHz Bypassable
The AM1081-1 is a high dynamic range bypassable DC-coupled amplifier covering up to 8 GHz. The device exhibits low bypass insertion loss and a moderate positive gain-slope, providing frequency equalization useful in many broadband applications. Packaged in a 4mm QFN with internal 50Ω matching and requiring a single positive control voltage, the AM1081-1 represents a dramatic size reduction over a discrete implementation of a bypassable amplifier.
The AM1081-1 is the newest addition in the Mercury catalog of bypassable amplifiers ranging from DC to 26.5 GHz. In this family there is the AM1065 that covers DC to 8 GHz with higher gain, the AM1067 that covers 5 GHz to 20 GHz, and the AM1075 that covers 5 GHz to 26.5 GHz. In addition to these the AM1073 offers bi-directional performance while still being bypassable covering DC to 8 GHz and the AM1077 offers a bypassable amplifier with an isolation state covering 5 GHz to 20 GHz.
Evaluation board includes SMA input and output connectors and SMA voltage input unless otherwise requested. AM1081-1 evaluation board also includes DIP switch for control of bypass function. This switch is included with the evaluation board unless otherwise requested. Evaluation board includes AM1081-1.
Module includes field replaceable SMA input and output connectors. Module also includes three pins for voltage input through a feed-through capacitor and a corresponding ground connection as well as a pin for toggling the bypass control high or low. Module includes four mounting holes sized 4-40 that are threaded from the bottom side of the module.
