AM1115A – Amplifier: 2.0 to 18 GHz Variable Gain

2.0 to 18 GHz Variable Gain Amplifier

AM1115A is a broadband MCM combining a digital step attenuator and gain equalizing amplifier covering the 2.0 to 18 GHz frequency range. The device offers 31dB of gain control varying from 5.5dB of gain to -25.5 dB of insertion loss over the full range. The AM1115A exhibits a gradual positive gain slope which makes it an ideal solution for controlling gain and gain slope of an RF system. Packaged in a small 4mm QFN, the AM1115A is an enabler for low SWaP applications due to its dramatic size reduction compared to a discrete implementation of a variable gain block and equalizer, saving valuable board space and BOM costs.
