AM3060 Digitally Tunable 320 MHz to 6.5 GHz Bandpass MMIC Filter

Digitally Tunable 320 MHz to 6.5 GHz Band Pass Filter

AM3060 is a miniature digitally tunable filter bank covering the 320 MHz to 6500 MHz frequency range with adjustable bandwidth in a 12.5 x 12.5 mm package. The device provides a bypassable amplifier stage and ports for a filter bypass path. The AM3060 is an excellent front-end for a broadband receiver or transceiver providing the ultimate flexibility of center frequency and bandwidth adjustment.

The AM3060 is also available as a RF-shielded module with dimensions 2.10″ x 2.10″ x 0.65″. With field-replaceable SMA connectors, control over USB, and power via USB or via an external pin the AM3060-M is ideally suited for lab use, receiver protection, and a variety of EMI reduction applications.

The AM3060-M81 includes the filters of the AM3060 with an AM1081 amplifier pointing from input to output (on the module this is left to right when logo facing downwards). AM1081 amplifier provides amplification in one direction only and also allows bypassing of the amplifier. The filter bypass path of the AM3060 is directly connected so that the filters may be bypassed directly allowing signals to pass from input to output from 10 MHz to 8 GHz. The AM3060-M81 provides lower gain and higher linearity than the AM3060-M65.

Don’t need the bypassable amplifier?

If you do not need the bypassable amplifier but would like a filter with similar function, we now offer the AM3152. This filter is a 400 MHz to 8 GHz digitally tunable band pass filter bank in a 6mm ceramic QFN. The AM3152 offers a smaller footprint, lower profile, a more robust package, lower loss due to the removal of the amp, and offers on chip power and control line filtering for applications that are tight on space. The AM3152 represents the latest of Mercury’s offerings and is an attractive choice for demanding applications requiring low SWaP components.
